Everee Squires Hickman, 90, of Bolivia, NC passed away at her home on Monday, the twenty first of November, 2016.
She was born in Bladen County, NC to the late Ruby and Flossie Squires on the twenty sixth of June, 1926. Everee was one who enjoyed the simple but important things that life has to offer, she loved her family and enjoyed doing special things for them, like, cooking, knitting blankets and afghans and annual trips to Maggie Valley in the NC mountains. Everee Squires Hickman, 90, of Bolivia, NC passed away at her home on Monday, the twenty first of November, 2016.
She was born in Bladen County, NC to the late Ruby and Flossie Squires on the twenty sixth of June, 1926. Everee was one who enjoyed the simple but important things that life has to offer, she loved her family and enjoyed doing special things for them, like, cooking, knitting blankets and afghans and annual trips to Maggie Valley in the NC mountains. Her hobbies included fishing, gardening, word-find puzzles, reading, watching her fish at home, and had a special interest for wrestling (John Cena was her favorite and "The Rock"). She was preceded in death by her loving husband of forty four years, LeRoy Hickman and two brothers.
Survivors include a son, Roy "Elton" Hickman and wife Cindy of Bolivia; a daughter, Ruby Lee McDowell and husband Dale of Bolivia; two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins and her special canine friend, Rocco.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Amedisys Hospice for the exceptional care given to their mother.
Funeral services are planned for two o'clock in the afternoon on Sunday, the twenty seventh of November, 2016 in the Chapel of White Funeral and Cremation Service, Bolivia/Supply Chapel. An interment service will follow in the Natmore Baptist Church Cemetery, 4189 Natmore Road, Kelly, NC 28448.
You are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Saturday, from six o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening at the White Funeral and Cremation Service, Bolivia/Supply Chapel.
Pallbearers are Bill Pope, Jason Pope, Billy Stidham, Bob Dorsch, Floyd Lacy and Bill James.
